Celebrating 85 years as a family-run business, Rucci can look back on a fascinating history, one marked by dedication and hard work — and the perseverance to get through hard times. Through it all, our focus has been on taking good care of our customers, no matter how challenging the times.
My grandfather, Joseph Rucci, started the company in 1927 as a coal and ice business, but he soon expanded into delivering heating oil and providing equipment service. My father Andrew took over in 1961 and the company continued to find new ways to meet our customers’ needs.
Today, the third-generation, my brother Andrew and I, have made sure we keep Rucci modern and up-todate.
That means embracing the latest technologies and becoming a one-stop shop for all your energy needs. We supply
natural gas, deliver clean-burning Bioheat fuel, service and install central air systems and help improve your indoor air quality.

 Here’s a real-life example of how a service plan can save you money. Customer A has our Ultra Service Plan and Customer B has no service plan. Both of their oil heating systems are about 10 years old.
Customer A recently had his heating system tuned up (a tune-up is included in his service plan). A tune-up can reduce heating costs by as much as 10% a year.
Since both Customers A and B will spend about $2,000 to heat their homes, Customer A’s tune-up could save him as much as $200. Customer B is long overdue for a tune-up — and it’s costing her money from lower efficiency and higher fuel use.
Plus, when Customer B needed a new circulator pump a few months ago, it cost her $450. Customer A needed the same repair, but with his Ultra Service Plan there was no charge for parts and labor.
So, for a cost of less than $1 per day, Customer A’s service plan saved him as much as $650. Customer B not only missed out on the savings but greater peace of mind as well.
